Site Alert: System Maintenance

Due to scheduled system maintenance, a number of our systems including Public Access (planning) and Modern Gov (Councillor, Committee and Meeting info), will be intermittently unavailable between 1pm and 6pm on Saturday 23rd September. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Chatteris Midsummer Festival

Chatteris Festival will take place on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2024.

What's on

The Festival begins with a vibrant parade through the town centre into Furrowfields recreation ground - details of how to get involved will be coming soon.

Visitors can look forward to a packed programme of entertainment running into Saturday evening along with a great variety of attractions, stalls and food vendors. The fun doesn't stop there! There's also a programme of fun on Sunday.

Bookings

Bookings will open in February 2024. If you would like to receive a booking pack at this time please follow the guidance on our events page

Plan your journey

It's free to park in Furrowfields car parks. Road closures are expected to be in place on Saturday 22nd June 2024 between 9am - 1pm. There will be a rolling road closure which means that as the parade passes roads (typically 30 minutes from 11am) will reopen to minimise inconvenience to residents. We thank you for your co-operation. Access to Furrowfields car park will not be possible during the parade.

Many people choose to walk or cycle to the event. Once you arrive, cycling isn't allowed in the event area.

Who makes it happen

Chatteris Midsummer Festival is a Council 'Four Seasons' event delivered with Chatteris Town Council alongside a committee of volunteers.

We would like to thank the many organisations and people that have contributed to the event's success over the years' and in particular the generosity of local businesses in sponsoring the event and programme.

If you enjoy the day and would like to contribute in some way (e.g. through sponsorship or volunteering), please contact us at marketsandevents@fenland.gov.uk.
