Cambridgeshire County Council Elections
On Thursday 1 May 2025 elections will be held for 8 divisions and 9 councillors for the Fenland area of Cambridgeshire County Council. The divisions are as follows:

Nominations
The Notice of Election will be published on Tuesday 25 March 2025.
Nominations will open from Wednesday 26 March 2025 until 4pm Wednesday 2 April 2025. Nomination papers need to be submitted by hand and you will need to make an appointment to submit them, which can be undertaken by calling 01354 622207 or e-mailing elections@fenland.gov.uk. We are also happy to undertake an informal check before submission of your nomination papers.

Candidates and Agents Briefing
We will be holding a briefing session for prospective candidates and agents to provide information on the nomination process and the election. There will also be valuable information at this briefing including key dates and processes, plus the opportunity to ask any questions.
The Candidates and Agents Briefing is scheduled for Thursday 27 March 2025 at 6.30pm in the Council Chamber, Fenland Hall, County Road, March.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Mayoral Election
On Thursday 1 May 2025 elections will be held for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority Mayoral elections, East Cambridgeshire District Council is the lead authority for the Combined Authority Mayoral elections and further information can be found at East Cambridgeshire District Council website or contact them at elections@eastcambs.gov.uk
All voters are now required to show voter identification in order to vote at a polling station. This requirement has been introduced under the Election Act 2022.
