Death notification

We recognise that it is a difficult time when somebody dies.


The Council needs to know about the death so we can look at the services we provided, such as:

  • Benefits
  • Council Tax
  • Housing
  • Elections 
  • Bin Collections

Please note that you will need to provide a copy of the Death Certificate to our Elections team. You can either:

  • scan this and email it to
  • post a copy to the Elections Team, Fenland Hall, County Road, March, PE15 8NQ
  • bring it into a Fenland @ your service shop or Community Hub for an advisor to scan

There are other organisations you will need to contact to register a death. More advice is available on the website about what to do after someone dies.
