Visit the NHS website if you think you have Coronavirus symptoms.

The new NHS COVID-19 app, now available to download for free in England and Wales, is the fastest way to see if you're at risk from Coronavirus. The app has a number of tools to protect you, including contact tracing, local area alerts and venue check-in.

From Wednesday 2nd December, the Government have set out a local tiered system with varying levels of restrictions. The tier level will be subject to regular review. Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is currently in Tier 2. View the tiers and what it means for you.  

Service updates

We are committed to continuing to operate essential services whilst following the latest guidance from the Government and Public Health England. 

Our refuse service is currently running as normal. If you're self-isolating or are confirmed to have Coronavirus, please follow our guidance when disposing of personal waste.

Some of our committee meetings have been postponed. Others will be available to view online via our YouTube channel.

Getting extra help

We've set up a community hub service that brings together volunteers, support groups and partners across Fenland to help those most at risk. If you're a resident and need help with food shopping or collecting medicines, we can provide details of a local voluntary service who can help you. Countywide Contact Tracing

We are working in partnership with Councils across Cambridgeshire to run a countywide contact tracing service. This aims to support the NHS Test and Trace Service by reaching people as quickly as possible who have tested positive for Coronavirus and must self-isolate.

Test and Trace Payment Support Scheme

The Government has introduced a Test and Trace Support Payment scheme to support people on low incomes if they can't work during their self-isolation period. This may be because they have tested positive for coronavirus or have recently been in close contact with someone who has tested positive.

As part of the scheme, eligible people will receive a £500 lump sum payment.

Money worries

We recognise that it may be a very stressful time for some residents financially. If you're struggling to pay Council Tax or your rent, we may be able to offer some extra help. The Money Advice Service website also offers useful advice about managing your money during this time.

Housing worries

The Government has introduced emergency legislation to protect renters and landlords affected by Coronavirus. This will suspend new evictions from social or private rented accommodation.
