Purpose
Victims and communities have the right to request a review of their case where a Local Threshold is met.
The review aims to bring agencies together to take a joined up, problem-solving approach to find a solution for the victim.
Relevant Agencies
The relevant agencies are the Police, Fenland District Council, Registered Housing Providers and the Integrated Care Board.
Local Threshold
- Three or more qualifying incidents of anti-social behaviour in the preceding six months, beginning with the date of the latest anti-social behaviour report
- The report of anti-social behaviour was made to a relevant agency within one month of it happening
Consideration will also be given to:
- the persistence of the anti-social behaviour
- the harm, or potential harm, caused by the anti-social behaviour
- the adequacy of the response from agencies
The definition of anti-social behaviour in this context is behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress to a member or members of the public.
The cumulative impact of the incidents is also considered, not just the impact of each incident in isolation of the others.
Who can request a Case Review
The victim of anti-social behaviour can make an application for a case review. With the victim's written content, a person on their behalf can also make an application.
A victim may be an individual, a business or a community group.
Make a request for a Case Review
If you'd prefer to complete a paper copy of the form, please email communitytrigger@fenland.gov.uk.
After you've made a request
You will be informed of the receipt of your application within two working days of receipt.
Within seven working days of receipt, you will be told if the local threshold has been met.
We aim to notify you of the Case Review Panel's assessment within six weeks of the decision the threshold was met.
You will have a single point of contact whilst the Case Review process is happening.
Asking for a review of the decision
If you're unsatisfied with the findings of the review panel, you can register a request for a review of their decision. This review will be conducted by another panel of different people from the relevant agencies and other independent agencies.
