It was proposed by Councillor Mrs French, seconded by Councillor Skoulding and resolved that Councillor Boden be elected Chairman for the meeting.

For members, in conjunction with the Chief Executive, to advise of their appointments to the roles of Assistant Director.

It may be necessary to exclude the public (including the press) from discussion on this item due to the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the paragraphs of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

Members considered the appointment to the Assistant Director positions.

The Chief Executive thanked all the officers who applied for the roles, congratulated those that were successful and also thanked the Member Appointments Panel for their robustness and professionalism in undertaking their duty.

Councillor Mrs French stated that the Member Appointments Panel had a long discussion with the 4 exceptionally good candidates and made the point that it was a very difficult decision for the Panel to only approve 3.

Members agreed that Anna Goodall, Amy Brown and Dan Horn be appointed to the roles of Assistant Directors.
