To allow up to 5 LAHF2 properties to be purchased for core homelessness needs in PE13 and PE14. All other recommendations remain as per minute CAB17/23.
Having a spread of properties for temporary accommodation for households across a broader geographical area gives better opportunities to house families in the area that they have roots and support connections. In accordance with legislation. Homeless households can appeal the suitability of accommodation provided and this reduces this risk.
To continue as per the original cabinet recommendation but this would mean the council has no temporary accommodation suitable for families in the area of biggest need.
