Purpose:
Single year contract for the provision of logistics software for refuse collection, including food waste, with 3-4 licences to allow for the required routing as part of the food waste service implementation
Decision:
To let a single year contract to RouteWare.
Reasons for the decision:
The software has been used on a single licence for many years following an initial county wide procurement. This was cost effective. Given the work this year the Council will need 3-4 licences, this increases the value of the order. With LGR the Council will keep to the single year and review options in 2027.
Alternative options considered:
Other existing suppliers have options, these have been compared in the past and will be again in 2027 based on the need at that point and LGR partner requirements.
