Decision:

Stephen Beacher, (Head of ICT, Digital & Resilience), has considered all options available and, after consulting the internal procurement team, has decided to award the contract to Microsoft.

 

Reasons for the decision:

We have explored a number of alternative solutions from other companies, but none of these offer an unlimited support option for the period of the contract. Other suppliers offer a set number of hours, which can be increased for an additional charge. This does not allow us to manage our support budget and could restrict the amount of support we take from the supplier.
