To update the existing and agreed fees for ‘Initial Test’ and ‘6 Month Vehicles Compliance Fee (older vehicles)’ with immediate effect.
Additionally, to update the existing fee for ‘Re-tests’.
Decision
To agree the fee of £86.00 for ‘Initial Test’ and the fee of £86.00 for ‘6 Month Vehicles Compliance Fee (older vehicles)’ with immediate effect.
Additionally to set the fee for Re-tests at £60.
Reasons for the decision:
Modernised processes from the Council’s Transformation Project and outsourcing of service provision creates reduced price combined MOT and Inspection certificate for drivers.
This change will reduce the number of inspections taking place in-house, however it is still necessary to cover costs for this element of the licensing service.
Alternative options considered:
None. The contract states that under certain circumstances drivers can request their test be undertaken by the FDC Workshop.
