Horticultural Officer - closing 21.12.2022

Salary £32,020 to 36,298 plus travel allowance and mileage

Note - The post is on an initial 6 month contract and will be reviewed at the end of this period

This is an exciting position and an opportunity to join the Parks and Open Spaces team at Fenland District Council in North Cambridgeshire. Primarily, the postholder would work alongside the contract manager and the external contract team, ensuring the parks, play areas, cemeteries and green spaces are effectively managed; deal with customer issues; undertake new initiatives (planting, play, bids for external funding etc); and ensure that our managed land is fit and safe for public usage.

Candidates should be experienced (5 years minimum) in related horticultural or landscape work and have some experience (2 years) in contract management as well as a relevant professional qualification in Horticulture or Landscaping (NQ 5 or higher).

The role is essentially outdoors within Fenland, for which a full driving licence is required.
