Local businesses invited to new Skills & Recruitment Event
Are you planning to recruit new staff or upskill your current workforce? Fenland for Business will be hosting their first ever Skills & Recruitment event later this month, bringing together specialist organisations in one location.
A range of recruitment and skills advice will be available from general recruitment and support to upskilling the workforce from basic skills to degree apprenticeships.
The event will be taking place on Thursday 29th September at the Boathouse Business Centre in Wisbech. No prior registration or booking is necessary with the event open to all on a drop-in basis between 8.30am and 2.00pm.
Local businesses from all sectors are invited to the event, with attendees encouraged to discuss their needs with the various recruitment and skills providers in attendance, which offer their services and support to businesses of all sizes.
Cllr Ian Benney, Fenland District Council's Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth, said: "This event offers a unique opportunity for businesses as it gives them a chance to see what support and training is available locally, network with fellow business owners and much more."
"We've seen businesses from across Fenland go from strength to strength after engaging with the range of support available, so I would greatly encourage anyone who is interested to come along and see what help is available to them."
The wide range of recruitment and skills providers already set to attend will ensure there's something for every business, from construction and manufacturing to retail and care providers. Confirmed attendees include Jobcentre+, Growth Works with Skills, North Cambridgeshire Training Centre, ARU Peterborough, the College of West Anglia and many more.
A one-to-one consultation space will also be available at the event for those who wish to discuss their requirements with recruitment and skills providers in greater detail. These sessions can be arranged on the day or in advance by contacting providers directly.
