Bank holiday for the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
Fenland District Council will mark the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by observing the national bank holiday on Monday 19 September.

The bank holiday will allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign while marking the final day of the period of national mourning.
All Council offices and buildings will be closed as a mark of respect on the bank holiday, and will reopen on Tuesday 20 September. This includes our:
- Main Customer Contact Centre (01354 654321)
- Customer Service Centres at Fenland Hall, March, and The Boathouse Business Centre, Wisbech
- Community Hubs at Chatteris Library and Whittlesey Library
Our online services will be available as usual. You can continue to make payments, report issues and make applications all via our website.
Books of Condolence
The Council's online Book of Condolence will remain open to the public and will be available on the day of the funeral.
Access to the Books of Condolence at our Customer Service Centres and Community Hubs will reopen on Tuesday 20 September and be available until 5pm that day.
Changes to Refuse Collections
All bin collections will be one day later than usual due to the bank holiday:
