Cllr Peter Murphy, Fenland District Council's Portfolio Holder for the Environment, unveiled the new bench at The Garden of Rest in Whittlesey last week.

The first bench marking 70 years since Her Majesty's accession to the throne was installed in St Peter and St Paul's Church gardens in Chatteris on 1 June. Further benches will be installed in Octavia Hill in Wisbech and Trinity Church Memorial Garden in March in the coming weeks.

Cllr Murphy said: "Adding these beautiful pieces of street furniture in each of our towns is a great way to honour The Queen's Platinum Jubilee. I hope that they will be used and enjoyed for many years to come."
