Full time role on a 6 months contract
Are you up for the challenge of making more people, more active, more often?
Our community in Fenland takes part in far less sport and physical activity than the recommended levels and we need help from an experienced sports development professional to help get Fenland more active.
The role will be delivering year 3 of a Sport England funded project to help tackle inactivity within families with children aged 5-19 across target areas of Fenland. You will work alongside not only our internal teams but other local districts, community and sports partners. The aim is to have a positive effect on community health by increasing sport and physical activity levels through improved opportunities and promotion of what's available locally.
For this role you will be confident, have good people skills as well as an understanding of the area of Fenland. You will be able to demonstrate a proven record of coordinating and delivering successful sports, health or physical activity projects, including their evaluation.
Our ideal candidate will have great communication and team working skills. Be able to create and deliver high quality sessions, work under deadline pressures and have good budgeting skills. They will be to juggle multiple tasks, whilst keeping on track with the role's admin monitoring and evaluation needs.
You will be task focussed and highly organised, able to take the initiative and be self-motivated, moving projects forwards against agreed timeframes.
Candidates will need to be flexible and able to attend sessions, meetings and events as needed; this may involve some evening and weekend work.
You will sit within our Active Fenland team and report to our Sports Development Manager
