Looking for some fun, educational games and activities to help keep the children entertained at home? Fenland District Council's Getting It Sorted volunteers have you covered!
An extensive range of free educational recycling activities which help promote the three Rs - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - are now available on our School Recycling Activities page.
The resources cover all stages of the National Curriculum, from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 3 and higher, and have been developed by volunteers with the help of teachers, parents and students.
The activity worksheets can be easily downloaded and printed at home, along with answers! Anyone without access to a printer can also request worksheets to be sent to them by emailing: gettingitsorted@fenland.gov.uk
Cllr Peter Murphy, the Council's Portfolio Holder for the Environment, said: "These fantastic resources were originally developed for use in schools at the start of the Spring term, but with schools closed due to lockdown they can be used to help keep children (and adults!) entertained and support home learning.
"This kind of fun, activity-led learning helps children to understand what materials can and can't be recycled and why recycling is so important for our environment."
