Senior / Environmental Health Officer Band 7-9 - Fixed term contract to end of March 2021.
Career Graded £29,577 - £43,857 per annum
Fixed term contract to support with Covid-19 responsibilities including outbreak management and enforcement and the food safety inspection programme (see below for more information).
The successful applicant will join a small, professional and hardworking team who support each other in delivering the team's environmental health responsibilities. Of particular relevance to this post are food safety competencies, however, other lead skill areas will be considered.
The role covers extensive and varied subject matter and offers the chance for the successful candidate to utilise their wide range of skills and experience, to manage their own workload. Evening and weekend working will be required.
With public health at the heart of everything we do, our service delivers a district based approach to environmental health issues with EHO's leading on the work in their patch. Technical demands are supported by experienced environmental health practitioners.
This role is career graded giving both experienced and less experienced officers an opportunity to apply. Newly qualified officers will be considered.

You will need to be well organised and responsive to all of our customers; possess a good knowledge of environmental health practice, enforcement skills and have sound judgement. You'll also need excellent communication skills, present a can do approach and work well in a team.
