Temporary changes to our taxi licensing procedures

Due to the restrictions imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, we have temporarily changed our procedures for Hackney Carriage drivers, Private Hire drivers, Vehicles and Operators

Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Drivers - New Applications

If you want to become a new driver, please email licensing@fenland.gov.uk with your details. We contact you to discuss the current situation and advise when new applications can be accepted.

Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Drivers - Renewal Applications

Over the last few months we have successfully implemented an online renewal process via email. This process will remain in place so we will not be offering face-to-face appointments for drivers to bring their renewal documents.

All renewals must be submitted via electronic application. This can be a scanned or photograph copy. All applications must be emailed to licensing@fenland.gov.uk.

  • Please submit your application at least 7 -10 days before your renewal date
  • All renewal paperwork must include a Renewal Application Form and if applicable:
    • DBS certificate - please send in DBS certificate number
    • DVLA share code
    • Copy of Medical report. As many surgeries are now re-opening, we would be encouraging you to obtain a new medical report. If (in exceptional circumstances) you are unable to obtain one please complete an Icon for word Emergency Medical Declaration form [36KB]. This will give you an additional 3 months to arrange for this to be completed
    • Payment made via our website.

Once processed, we'll send your new driver badge and paper licence in the post. Please return your old badge to us by post or through the letterbox at The Base, Melbourne Avenue, March, PE15 0EN.
