Built in 1793 The Angles Theatre is one of the oldest surviving Georgian theatres in the country. Tucked away in Alexandra Road this remarkable community theatre, with only 112 seats, offers a very intimate performance space. Specialising in drama, dance and musical theatre. The Angles Theatre welcomes both top amateur companies and visiting professionals. Many acclaimed performances have taken place on this stage so visitors may look forward to a memorable evening.

Octavia Hill's Birthplace House

A grade II* listed Georgian house, in which Octavia Hill, social reformer and co-founder of the National Trust, was born. New features include a Victorian Chamber of Horrors and one of Octavia's 'outdoor sitting-rooms' in the 'secret' garden.

Stonea Camp

Off the B1093 near March, signed Stitches Farm

Site of the lowest 'hill fort in Britain', built during the Iron Age, Open all year. Free Admission.


St Wendreda's Church

Town End, March

A magnificent church noted for its timber roof with 120 angels carved from wood. Key for the church can be collected from The Stars Public House, between 12noon - 5pm, tel 01354 652863. Church open on Saturdays.


The Cage Interpretation Centre

Parsons Drove

Once the village lock-up, now a 'mini'museum depicting Fen life as seen through the eyes of John Peck, farmer, village constable and diarist.

Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust

Wetland Centre famous for its thousands of over-wintering wild swans and ducks. Large observation hides, shop and tearoom. Open daily 10am-5pm. Late opening until 8pm from mid November until end of February. Thurs - Sun. Closed Christmas day.
