Welcome to the Procurement and Purchasing Section which forms part of the Council's Finance and Information Services Department.

Our aim is to seek value for money on all goods, works and services bought by the council. We offer guidance, advice and support on all aspects of procurement to all council departments.

Main areas of activity are:

• Identify savings on goods, works and services.
• The development of corporate contracts for the most commonly used goods and services within the council.
• Operation of the Council's Central Stores.
• Supporting individual services in specific high value tender projects.
• Delivery of the Council's Procurement Strategy.
• Collaboration with other authorities to provide better value services and economies of scale.
• Implementation of the Governments National Strategy for Procurement and E-Procurement.
• Providing information on how to sell to Fenland District Council
