National Planning Policy
| Introduction |
|
The Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) is responsible for overseeing the planning system and publishes
national guidance and policies on the different aspects that govern this system. National planning policies are set out in new-style Planning Policy Statements (PPS), which are gradually replacing Planning Policy Guidance Notes (PPGs). They are also laid out in Minerals Planning Statements (MPS) and Mineral Policy Guidance Notes (MPG), Marine Minerals Guidance Notes (MMG) and planning circulars all of which can be accessed via the links below. |
