Local Development Framework
| Introduction |
|
The Local Development Framework (LDF) will eventually replace the Fenland Local Plan of 1993. It is a collection of documents
produced by the Fenland Planning Policy team which will collectively deliver the spatial planning strategy for the District. The LDF represents a substantially reformed planning system, which has been designed to embed community responsive policy-making at its heart and bring the focus of the planning system onto the delivery of positive social, economic and environmental outcomes. At the centre of this system is the Core Strategy document, which sets out the Council's vision for future development in Fenland. Underpinning this vision is a series of evidence base documents which contain various studies into different aspects of the District. The system encourages engagement with the local community at all stages of the process and as such the Council has set out how it intends to achieve this in its Statement of Community Involvement which can be accessed below. Consultation will be conducted on all documents that form the LDF before they are formally adopted. |
