Building Control Quality Standards For Customers And Colleagues
We Offer Customers A Friendly But Professional Building Regulations Service Based On The Following Specification And Standards:
- Fast plans checking service
- Responsive site inspection service. A service we can tailor to meet individual customer requirements
- Technical support available the whole working day
- Fast tracking applications where necessary for contractual or other deadlines
- Public accountability and probity
- Unrivalled local knowledge
- Structural checking of simple beams
- Provision of National Type Approvals
- Qualified and experienced staff – all Senior and Building Control Officers are Members or Technicians of The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and/or the Association of Building Engineers (ABE) and have extensive Building Control experience
- Provision of a network to colleagues for example Economic Development, Planning, Fire Officer, Environmental Health.
- Provision of Fire Safety and Completion Certificates when projects are complete
- Maximise use of Conditional Approvals if required
- Communications by Fax or E-mail if you prefer this
- Act as your National Partner for plans approval
- Provision of Quarterly Newsletters and Presentations to colleagues and customers covering items of information, news and interest
- Provision of guides on topics such as foundation design, garage conversions, how to choose your builder.
PRIMARY STANDARDS

| PLANS CHECK | Within three weeks of deposit (large-scale or complex projects by negotiation). |
| SITE INSPECTION | Same day for calls received up to 10.00am on the day. |
| CORRESPONDENCE |
Letters and fax's: Within 10 working days. E-mails acknowledged within 1 day, with full response within 10 working days. |
| TELEPHONE CALLS | Within working hours: Staff available to receive calls. |
