Be Seen to be Clean
Clean-up campaign hits Whittlesey
Fenland District Council’s successful “Be Seen to be Clean” campaign will be visiting Whittlesey again next Friday, February 19. It will run until June, in co-operation with the town council, local businesses, schools and the local Street Pride group.
Initially, the campaign will focus on “food on the go”-type litter, where people drop wrappers on the street near food outlets. It will also target locations where smokers may drop their cigarette ends.
Next Friday’s launch will be both at the Manor Leisure Centre and Market Square from 9am. FDC’s Streetscene Team will be out and about in the town discussing any environmental issues with customers and businesses in support of the campaign, which also has the backing of Donarbon Waste Management.
