Graffiti
Graffiti is an illegal, anti-social activity that detracts from an area's appeal and contributes to local people's fear of crime.

Graffiti Removal Tips*
The following methods of removal are fairly simple and economic:
All Painted surfaces
In most cases you should be able to paint over the graffiti although you might need to use several coats of paint. DO NOT use paint remover, thinners, white spirit or metholated spirit, as this will attack the existing paint.
Timber fencing
Sand down surface with coarse sand paper and re-stain, or it is possible to paint out large areas of graffiti effectively with brown exterior emulsion paint watered down slightly on the first coat; quick and effective if an area is regularly targeted by vandals or low grade fenced areas out of sight.
Glass
White spirit or metholated spirit should remove most paints and marker pen ink. DO NOT use abrasive materials or cleaners. Carefully read the manufacturers instructions and safety information before use.
Plain metal
White spirit or metholated spirit should remove most paints and marker pen ink. DO NOT use abrasive materials. Some paint removing products may be suitable. Carefully read the manufacturers instructions and safety information before use.
Plastic
White spirit or metholated spirit should remove most paints and marker pen ink. DO NOT use abrasive materials or cleaners. Some solvents may have an adverse effect on some plastics. Carefully read the manufacturers instructions and safety information before use.
