Core Strategy Preferred Options 2

FENLAND DISTRICT CORE STRATEGY AND
DEVELOPMENT POLICIES DEVELOPMENT PLAN DOCUMENT

PREFERRED OPTIONS 2

The Council is preparing a Core Strategy – the blueprint for development in the future and we need your views. The Council has already consulted widely on the issues that need to be thought about when starting the process. This includes consultation on the Preferred Options in late 2006. The results of this are summarised for download in the attached report.

Summary of Responses (2007)

The comments you made have been used to decide how to move this on. In particular the Council has produced more on:

  • Vision for the future of the district
  • Identifying broad locations for new housing
  • Long term land supply for housing and employment
  • Transport Policy and Strategy

These studies have informed a revised spatial strategy for Fenland to produce a further Preferred Options Document for consultation. This Document called Preferred Options 2 is available to download along with the above supporting studies.

These options and documents are not yet final as the Council wishes to take on board any further views you may have. The documents will be available for consultation for 6 weeks from 1 October 2007 to get your comments. Any comments on the documentation need to be received at the Council Offices by 5pm 12 November 2007. Details of how to make comments are given below.

An interactive version of the Core Strategy that enables responses to be submitted online is available here
