![]() Setting Pop-up Exceptions for Internet Explorer 6.0 Browsers
One of Internet Explorer’s (IE) features is to automatically block unsolicited pop-ups. This is available in Internet Explorer 6.0 with Microsoft XP Operating System and Service Pack 2 applied. By default this feature is enabled. It is possible to disable this feature for particular websites (i.e. www.fenland.gov.uk) Verifying the Pop-up Blocking Feature: To determine whether your browser is running the pop-up blocking feature launch the IE browser, select About Internet Explorer under the Help menu, and compare the version information for your browser to the information in Figure 1 for references to XP and SP 2.
Creating Exceptions to Pop-up Blocking: If you are using IE 6 with XP and SP2 applied, creating an exception to default pop-up blocking is a simple 2-step procedure:
