Cambridgeshire Compact Agreement

"Compact" is the name of the partnership agreement between the statutory sector i.e. central and local government, the NHS, Police etc and Community and Voluntary Sector.

What is Compact?

In Cambridgeshire we have one Compact. The partnership agreement helps to enable public bodies and groups to work together easier, quicker and better. The Compact covers all aspects of relationships across the range of voluntary and community groups. All statutory groups and organisations including parish councils, and voluntary and community groups who support compact values and principles can join in a Compact.

Fenland District Council formally signed the agreement in 2006 and we have made a commitment to provide more transparent working arrangements across the Council. We form part of the Cambridgeshire Compact Partnership, which includes Cambridgeshire County Council, the other Cambridgeshire district councils and City Council, the NHS, the Police and representatives from CVS5 (the consortium body which represents the Council for Voluntary Services) and other community and voluntary sector organisations.
