Manea Street Pride Group

The group meet on the first Saturday of the month at Meat & Eat cafe, between 9.30-10am.

Manea Street Pride group are a relatively small group and are always looking for new volunteers. Your ideas on how to improve Manea, for the benefit of everyone can be discussed at the regular, monthly Saturday morning litter picks, weeding, leaf clearing or planting, depending on the time of year.

In the past the group have worked with Manea Primary School where a willow tunnel was built and bird boxes made. A competition was arranged, asking the pupils to design a poster of what is special about Manea. The winning posters were displayed at the railway station.

Volunteers in Manea have previously entered the Anglia in Bloom competition. The group also worked on the gateway in Westfield Road and have made the area look more attractive for everyone. The sign has also been replaced.
