Fenland's spectacular landscape, lively market towns and strong community spirit makes the district a great place to live, work and play in. The Fenland Strategic Partnership (FSP) brings together all of the local agencies and organisations who are dedicated to improving the district and making life in Fenland even better. Wherever you look, there is always some kind of new and exciting project taking shape. Whether you decide to keep fit by paying a visit to the Mobile Gym, or report an incident at the Crimebuster, these are just a couple of projects that help to make the lives of residents living in Fenland that little bit easier.
Which organisations are involved in the FSP?

What is our vision?
Our vision is to ensure that 'Fenland is a district where there is a high quality of life for all, now and in the future and that Fenland is known as a great place to live, work, learn and visit.'
To help us to achieve this vison Fenland's Community Strategy (Shaping Fenland's Future Together) sets out a number of actions to move forward. The FSP Board monitors the development and delivery of Shaping Fenland's Future Together through five themed partnerships. These partnerships include:
The Health and Well-being Partnership
The Health and Well-being Partnership aims to educate Fenland residents to lead healthy lifestyles by offering advice and support through a wide range of fitness projects across the district. Successful projects include:
- Mobile Gym and Support Vehicle
- Smoking Cessation service
- Exercise Referral Scheme
- 'Wiz Gets Phys' (wisbech Gets Physical)
The Safer Fenland Partnership
The Safer Fenland Partnership works together to reduce anti-social behaviour, crime and the fear of crime in Fenland. Successful projects include:
- The CrimeBUSter
- Re-deployable CCTV
- Smartwater Scheme-Project targeting car theft and burglary
- Outreach projects reducing levels of anti-social behaviour
Economic and Sustainable Communities Partnership
The action plan for this partnership looks at improving skill levels within the district and developing the local economy within Fenland. Successful projects include:
- Fenland Engineering Skills Centre
- King Edward Centre Redevelopment Project
Building a Sustainable Environment Partnership
This Partnership aims to educate people and businesses to become 'greener'. A clean and healthy environment contributes to the quality of all our lives. Successful projects include:
- Greener Living Fairs
- Fenland Green Business Club
The Children and Young People's Area Partnership
The Children and Young People's Area Partnership focuses on projects that help to develop our children and young people. They are the future and it is very important to give them the best possible start in life. Successful projects include:
- Ormiston Play Ranger Project
- Development of the Spinney Adventure Playground, Waterlees
- Kids are Alright Campaign
- Skills Development Sessions

FSP Annual Report
Wherever you look in the district there is always some kind of new and exciting project taking shape. The dedication of local organisations and agencies involved in partnership working is key to implementing these projects and helping to improve the quality of life for our local people.
