Community Grants Scheme 2012-13

Fenland District Council are delighted to announce that the Community Grants Scheme is now officially open. We are welcoming applications from groups (up to a maximum of £5,000) which meet the Fenland Strategic Partnership Priorities; Improving life chances for young people, Reducing crime and disorder, Improving health outcomes and Improving economic prosperity.

The projects can consist of both capital and revenue elements, but groups must show that they are fully constituted, possess all of the relevant policies and the outcomes must meet at least one of the priorities mentioned above.

The total pot of funding available is £70,000 which includes £25,000 from Roddon's Housing Association. This funding will help local groups to provide positive activities and outcomes for people living within our district. Examples of previous applications include; play equipment, community car schemes, luncheon clubs for our older residents and one off events.

Due to the difficult economic climate and the reduced amount of available funding, Fenland District Council are pleased to offer groups the opportunity to meet with a Community Support Officer on a 1:1 basis to help them through the process and give general guidance on how to fill in the application form. If you would like to take advantage of the additional support then please contact Hetty Thornton on 01354 654321 to arrange a time slot.

If successful, the funding will be administered in August 2012 and projects must be completed by April 2013.

If you would like a copy of the Community Grants scheme application form then please contact the Community Support Team on 01354 654321 or email jmoden@fenland.gov.uk

Please note the closing date for applications is 27th April 2012
