Housing Options (homelessness prevention) vacancies

Fenland is leading the Homelessness Trailblazer fund with colleagues across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough.  Our aim is to help make homelessness the unacceptable outcome.

The new Homelessness Reduction Act focuses on preventing homelessness for our customers.  We are getting ready to meet the challenge within our Housing Options team.

Are you an excellent communicator? Do you have the skills to negotiate and problem solve to prevent our customers from being homeless? If so, we would like to hear from you.

We currently have exciting opportunities within our Housing Options Team in Fenland -

  • 1 x Housing Options Officer - permanent
     
  • 1 x Housing Options Officer - temporary contract up to 23 months

37 hours per week / Band 6 (£22,658-£27,668) - subject to job evaluation

You will use your creativity and negotiation skills to find solutions for our customers housing issues and use your excellent organisational skills, drive and enthusiasm to find housing solutions.    

  • 2 x Case work Support Officers - temporary contract up to 23 months

37 hours per week / Band 3 (£15,807 - £17,772) - subject to job evaluation

You will support the work of the Housing Options Officers through effective organisation skills, negotiating with customers and stakeholders to prevent homelessness.
