Join volunteers for community litter pick

One of Fenland's newest volunteer Street Pride groups is urging villagers to get involved with its next community litter pick.

Elm Street Pride

Elm Street Pride, which formed in June, is inviting residents to join them at 10am on Saturday, November 4, as they go out and about to help keep the village looking clean and tidy.

The group meets the first Saturday of every month at 10am at the war memorial near the Sportsman Pub. Anyone wanting to attend is asked to wear suitable clothing and footwear, equipment will be provided and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Members would also be pleased to welcome anyone with ideas of things the group could get involved with in the future.

Rebecca Robinett, Fenland District Council's Street Pride co-ordinator, said: "Members of the group give up their time to improve the community for all to enjoy. It would be great to see more villagers come along to support them."
