March electors asked to vote in March Neighbourhood Planning Referendum

Fenland District Council will be holding a March Neighbourhood Planning Referendum on Thursday, September 7, to see if electors wish to support a plan to change planning policies affecting the town.

Ballot Box

The council will ask residents to vote on whether they want to adopt the March Neighbourhood Plan, which has been prepared and put forward by March Town Council.

The question to be asked in the referendum is: "Do you want Fenland District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for March to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?"

If more than 50% of people voting in the referendum support the plan, then Fenland District Council must bring it into force. It will then form part of the Development Plan for March.

For more information, and to view the plan, visit March Town Council's Neighbourhood Planning page.  You can also contact March Town Council on 01354 653709 or email:
