Gardeners and allotment holders can learn ways of making their plots more wildlife-friendly at a free, two-hour workshop being held next month (May).

Organised by Froglife with support from Fenland District Council's Street Pride, it will be at Parson Drove village hall on Saturday, May 7, from 10am.

It will introduce participants to the River Nene Dragon Finder project and help them improve their own green spaces in ways that will encourage all forms of wildlife, especially amphibians and reptiles.

These include practical tips on creating ponds, wildflower areas and log piles.

The workshop is suitable for families with children aged over 6.

About 30 people joined in a similar event at Norwood Road Nature Reserve in March last summer.
