Making Tourism Count

A drop in session has been set up next Friday by Cambridgeshire Fens Tourism Partnership (CFTP) to help shape the future of the Cambridgeshire Fens as a visitor destination.

On Friday 2 October, individuals, groups and businesses involved in tourism are invited to the event to give views and ideas on how we can grow tourism in the Cambridgeshire Fens. The event will be held at Fenland Hall in March, between 10am - 4pm.

Tourism is one of the main drivers of economic development, providing jobs and bringing people into the district. It also acts as our shop window for the district, showcasing what the Cambridgeshire Fens has to offer to visitors and investors in Fenland.

Fenland District Councillor Michelle Tanfield, the Partnership's chairman, said:

"The Cambridgeshire Fens partnership is looking for you to help attract more visitors into the Cambridgeshire Fens. We are here for you and would like to hear what you think we should be doing together to increase tourism in our area."

The ideas gathered from the day will shape a vision and action plan for developing tourism in the Cambridgeshire Fens.

The day will also offer a chance to look at our new website;
