Hop along to a wildlife workshop

Interested in frogs, snakes and other wildlife - and want to do your bit to help conserve them?

Then hop along to the Norwood Road Nature Reserve in March at 10 am next Saturday (August 8) for a free wildlife workshop organised by Froglife's River Nene Dragon Finder project.

The aim is to encourage gardeners, allotment holders and others to create wildlife-friendly features such as ponds, wildflower areas and log piles on their own plots.

The workshop, run by Froglife's project staff, will last about two hours.

Participants will learn the importance of amphibians and reptiles, how to identify the various species found in the UK and ways to help them flourish.

The Friends of Norwood Road will also be there as part of the group's ongoing work in the nature reserve.
